Let this be a warning to those who spend hours on their cell phones while doing their business in the loo. A man from China had to part ways with his rectum after he sat on the toilet for too long playing video games.
A guy in Zhongshan in southeast China was sitting on the toilet last week, playing video games on his phone. And after a half hour . . . his RECTUM FELL OUT.
Images of a CT scan of the man's rear showed a big lump hanging outside his body.
Apparently, while he was sitting there playing around on his phone and . . . um . . . grunting and pushing, his pelvic muscles got weak enough that they couldn't hold his rectum in his body anymore.
The gaming enthusiast was rushed to the hospital at midnight after a ball-sized lump fell out of his anus, Daily Mail quotes local reports. He rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery, and the doctors say he's recovering.
Now . . . this guy DID have rectum issues in the past, so this was more likely to happen to him than, say, you or me.
But it's still a pretty good reminder that you shouldn't sit on the toilet forever, even if you're REALLY into whatever you're doing on your phone.
