Om March 18th, Frisco's Toyota Stadium will re-open for the 2017 Season, but with 39 milllllllion dollars worth of freshening up. Awesome! Just in time for Edgefest! But....did it really need it? Still looked like a pretty new place to me. Their reasoning for it it understandable...to remain competitive in a time when live events are hugely competitive. Live is the only form of entertainment the modern consumer can;t really get on the internet, largely for nothing or close to it....so producing live events has become a while new animal in the world of digital consumerism. Still, you can't help but think about some of our other DFW venues, and a renovation with maybe half that price tag would benefir them so greatly. Here's hoping all of our big event joints find their way...as they gold a crap-ton of great memories for so many of us.
